Eye Camp Methodology

Methodology envisages the involvement of District Administration , Health and Authorities and company officials in projecting its corporate image as follows in the process of Eye – screening Camps & Cataract operations:-

  • Identifying in consultation with supporting organization officials cluster of 30-40 villages in the area of company’s operations
  • Identifying venues of organizing the camp such as school, health centre.
  • Holding meeting with school principals, Gram Pradhans, Sarpanchs etc.for purpose of publicity for the eye screening camp.
  • Printing of publicity material - handbills, posters, banners prescription sheets etc.
  •  

  • Giving publicity in news papers, radio, TV, web sites and through loudspeakers covering weekly markets, schools and village Panchayat. 
  • Arrangement of Doctors and paramedical staff (optometrist  etc ) who will screen the patients during the camp.
  • Fixing up of hospital /nursing home for conducting cataract operations
  • Arrangement of medicines for distribution during the camp
  • Arrangement of  spectacles for distribution during the camp
  • Making arrangements for holding the Eye Screening Camp i.e. shamiyana, furniture, refreshment & facilities for doctors and para  medical staff
  • Arrangement of volunteers for distribution of publicity material.

  • Arranging  transport for shifting cataract patients from venue of eye camp to hospital
  • Arranging  transport for shifting patients from hospital to venue site after cataract operation
  • Arrangement of boarding / lodging for the patients.
  • Arranging for Individual and group photos of all the patients undergone operation.
  • Constant coordination and service by our staff and volunteers with the patients and hospital authorities through out and from day of camp to post operative check up.
  • Post operative care i.e. arranging for eye surgeon/paramedical staff for post operative review after 7-10 days at the venue of operation
  • All cataract operation will be done by the experienced Eye Surgeons with IOL Implant (Phaco/SICS)
